We have created an experience for you and your children called The Table. As Bible stories come to life you will have the opportunity to interact with your children through engaging questions. So come to The Table with us and see all that God has for you and your family!

Series Parts

Week 1: Am I In Trouble?

STEP 1: Pray for your children.
Take a moment to pray for your children. You can do this alone or read it with them.
Dear Gracious Father, You are a God who loves and cares about us. I’m thankful you made me a mom and gave me {Insert child’s name}. I pray you would open their eyes to see your truth and gain wisdom from your Word. Help them to trust you and want to know more about you. Set their feet on a solid foundation and protect them and guide them as they grow. Be their strength and refuge amid the storms. Make them strong and courageous yet find rest and shelter beneath your wings. May they always understand that nothing can separate them from your love. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen

STEP 2: Watch the video.
Once dinner is ready, find a seat at the table and place your device where everyone can see it to watch the video.

STEP 3: Have a conversation.
Discuss the questions asked in the video. Allow your children to answer the questions first before giving your input.

Romans 3:23 ESV
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Ephesians 2:4-5 ESV
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.

Table Questions:

  1. What is sin, and why does it separate us from God?
  2. If you are a Christian, you are saved from your sin. But you will still struggle with the temptation of sin while on this earth. What is something you struggle with that you know you need to give over to God today?
  3. How can you as a family pray for each other as you live your daily lives trying to follow Jesus?

What can we do to make Jesus love us? Can we make him love us more or less by our actions?

Romans 5:6-8 ESV
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Table Questions:

  1. Kelly taught us about the word salvation. Do you remember what it means?
  2. How does knowing God loved you even when you were a mess change how you live
    your everyday life?
  3. If good things don’t earn our way into heaven, why do we do them?
  4. Have you received the gift of salvation or are you still trying to do enough good things to earn your way into heaven?

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

What is the most important thing in your life? Can you love things and love God?

Matthew 7:24 ESV
“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of Mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. And its collapse was great!”

Table Questions:

  1. Are you building your life on Jesus or are you building your life on something else?
  2. Has there been a time when you have built your life on something other than Jesus and it wasn’t good?
  3. How can God use the things in your life to help you point others to him?
